Maxing out literally every game I own at 1440p and getting anywhere between 70-100fps
Witcher 3 has seem weird stuttering in Novigrad and I don't believe it's my i7 4790k that is the problem

I have a early 4k monitor using MST, and since upgrading to windows 10 from 8.1 the control center has failed to output over display port 1.2.

trying to debate between a 1070 and a 1080 myself right now. i've been rocking a 780ti for a few years now, and been kicking the shit out of literally every game up until i tried playing mirrors edge catalyst. want to stop playing it until i can experience it maxed out, and from what i understand both cards can do it at over 60 fps without an issue. just trying to figure out if the 1080 is that much of an improvement over the 1070 to justify the extra 200.

Upgraded from a gtx260 to a gtx1080.
It's been 2 days, but I starting to regret it. This is way overkill, should I keep it because it's more futureproof, or take it back for a gtx1060/rx480?
I'm only on 1080p 60hz, so this is really overkill imo. Don't know what I was thinking ;_;

I just got the pictured 1080 today. It's bretty nice desu, hairworks in tw3 is the only thing thats gotten it below 60 fps, but the 720 price point should have been for the higher end lightening/gaming z/whatever the fuck they end up calling it.

Waiting for EVGA to launch their 1080 classified model. Currently have the 980ti classified. Honestly the leap from 980ti to 1080 is marginal, but I have plenty of money in my rainy day bank account, so why the fuck not?
I would say I'm waiting for the rx490, but I won't be buying amd again soon. Had he r9 390x and it ran decent, not good enough to truly push 1440p though. Then bought a fury, and was plagued with problems. Bought a 980ti to replace it and have since been hooked since using shadowplay. Seriously if AMC could make something even close to shadowplay, I'd consider going back.

Nope, they're not. Gonna SLI. I'm on 780 SLI now and I've never had any major issues. All big games have supported SLI and there's workarounds for the ones that don't.

just get a gsync display if you have the money for a gtx 1080, no point manually overclocking a monitor when technology can sync the monitor's refresh rate with the framerate the gpu is outputting. I have a gtx 980ti and a predator x34, gsync is nice

How bad a bottleneck would an intel Q9550 quadcore 3Ghz and GTX 1080 produce?, my mobo uses PCIe2.0 i havent feel the need to upgrade them in a loooong time
Also im currently using a radeon HD 7950 (PCIe3.0 on a 2,0 port)
