I've been having trouble finding a job and I've turned my search to IT, and most everything requires CompTIA A+ certification. When I was at a tech school a few years ago (around 2011-2012), I decided not to go for the certification because I didn't have the money then. I've still got my books from then so I can study that, but what all should I study that's new if I want to get certified? Does anyone know of any good resources if you're only going after an A+ certification?

I've been looking at shit in shipping/receiving because I did that for a while before I got my BA, and lo and behold they won't hire anyone that has anything more than a GED.

I did the practice quizes on the CompTIA site and got over an 80 on both. I can't remember what you have to score to get certified though. I'm not looking for "how to learn computers" but a refresher or something before I spend $300 on a test.
