What did they mean by this?
who are you quoting?

They mean that when you leave your computer on for literally years at a time, it won't crash using Linux, while it likely would running Windows or macOS.
Ubuntu's installer is pretty known for being "meh", you should check out Fedora.

That's not what stable means you dingus.

It's like you've never installed windows and had the installer fail with a cryptic error message.
At least it normally gives you a good error message if you read that bug report.

Fedora is absolutely garbage beta tester distro
You're forgetting about something, OP.
>>55567049
Oh, sorry, Debian users, I forgot.

Yeah, I'm gonna ahead and install Windows 7 on it. After installing Lubuntu the sound isn't going through HDMI, even though I did the stackexchange steps to enable it.
Yesterday my dad bought a laptop with Windows 10 on it.
Both my dad and the store thought it was broken several times when it just showed a black screen for 10 minutes. Supposedly it was just updating each time.

It has a nice installer at least.
Once you get a few extra repos in your system (copr, rpmfusion) then I think it's about as good as Debian testing, but in the end I wouldn't say it's worth it.
I don't have much reason to uninstall it though.
