Does /g/ know of a way that I can slightly spoof my GPS location (say to be about a block away from where I am) without rooting my android specifically for pokemon GO.
Normal spoofing apps don't work because it has the ability to detect if mock GPS locations are enabled.
I ask because I live in the ghetto and there is a pokestop and a gym about a block from me but it's pretty unlikely I can go there without getting jumped or stepping on a needle

The battle system is basically nonexistent, the only gameplay mechanic is the geocaching functionality of catching pokemon and visiting landmarks.

There is no way to "spoof" geo-location data, the satellites triangulate with each other based on your transmission signal, that's how GPS works.
You shouldn't be using Pokemon GO anyways.

It's not like you're lying to GPS satellites, you're just lying to an app that is asking a software subsystem for some information. You can intercept that and feed it arbitrary data instead
