I'm currently using a Logitech Z623. I was thinking if I should stick with it, or buy a vintage pair of wooden stereo speakers and a good amp. Never been fan of sorround and the sound card in my MSI M9 does a good job.
Also, general speaker thread.

thinking about getting yamaha hs8.
am I a retard or should I rather invest in something more expensive like dynaudio bm5 mkIII oder a5x?
really like the price of the yamahas.
I currently have a 5.1 speaker system, are 2.1 any good?

music is almost always put into two channels, so that's what you'll pretty much ever need for music.
BUT movies are another thing: they usually have surround sound and benefit from a 5.1 or a 7.1 surround sound system.
