They're not perfect but if you are using Kodi with an external server and need something that also plays Playstation Vue, Nextflix, etc. then they seem to be the best option.

I use mine to stream downloaded media from a server. With a server, you can have a centralized database that allows you to sync all of your kodi devices. Lots of people seem to use them to directly stream television stations and sports.

Stream anything. You can access your kodi server from anywhere or your friends. There are tons of people that have set up channels that have every tv show, movie for stream, live tv, etc.
