Unless the Liberals implode in the next few months I doubt the NBN will survive until the next election, it'll be sold of to Telstra at a fraction of cost for sure.
>>55539663
This was probably the plan all along, sell it back to telstra who they contracted with and paid to build it .
great now Telstra have monopoly on the next generation of internet too.

>hurr it's the government's job to render a service that could be done by a private company
>durr why don't corrupt politicians from both sides just come up with an actual solution like breaking up telstra and liberalizing the market instead of constantly fucking shit up and shifting the blame on one another

>[retard noise to emphasise how dum u r lol] private companies sure do love spending money to improve their service especially those in a duopoly there must be a 3rd party stopping them because they couldnt possibly not care

As silly as it sounds, I hope the end game for internet is it eventually being a free necessity or at least subsidized like those govt phone programs.
We're getting to the point where you need internet for everything. You can't really get a job anymore without it, most places are slowly phasing out paper bills, you can't get through school without it, the wealth of information on the internet being available to everyone is better for society, etc.
