Convenience. Have to use a Mac at work and at home for development. Having an iPhone just makes it easier to forward SMS and calls to my laptop. Also my family all have iPhone so it's convenient for Facetime and all that jazz.
Honestly I don't use my phone for much more than calls and texts. I don't really need the amount of customization options that are at your disposal with Android.

It has a lot more features but refreshing takes about twice as long as clover. It works well for other chans and archives though. I think the main reason to use clover is it's faster and more aesthetic.
