So i´m looking to build a second PC to play games when i´m home at my parents.

I already got my 7870, HDD´s and 8 gigs of RAM

I just need to get a good CPU/Mobo package to finish the build.

I wanna be able to play AAA titles (BF1/Division/etc), so is there any point going below the 2500k? (These are still stupidly expensive)

Try finding an i3 6100 with a h110 mobo. Better than amd cpu's when it comes to gaming or the same

Get a used i5-2400
Stick it in a new mobo though.

Athlon 880k is the best budget cpu, as fast as core i3 with one HUGE letdown.

You end up with a soon to be dead platform with no upgrade path
