If hillary clinton can set up her own email server why am I not allowed to by my ISP?

You already know the answer.

Only your wallet is stopping you.

Depends on your contract...
On mine it says no servers etc.

>listened about the decision to not prosecute her on the radio
>people get fucked for much less, but she gets off scot-free because muh politics muh money
>former FBI lawyer flat out says on the fucking radio "some people get special treatment in these kinds of cases, but that's not what we should be questioning right now"
I fucking hate rich people and this retarded country.

Because you use a shit ISP?
>>
>>55473884
Its not worth it.

Unless you know how to secure your server people will just spam bot it and take it over and spam emails from it resulting in your IP range being blacklisted.

In fact alot of residual IP ranges are blocked usually.

>>55474156
The default Exim configuration works fine for such purposes. The only real problem is setting up a somewhat proper spam filter for your own address.

>not allowed to by my ISP

You are. Just get a few million or better yet, billions.
>>
>>55473884
Just get business class internet and you can

Also most ISP's dont give a fuck unless your somehow disrupting their network. I've been running a Minecraft server off my ISP for years even though my ISP also says you cant run servers

>>55475222
When they say servers they really don't know what they're saying. If your ISP really didn't want you hosting servers they'd block all incoming connections to your IP. They just don't want you running an website that gets heavy traffic or a public FTP server on your consumer-tier package. I run a personal SSH tunnel and OwnCloud server and I barely even use half of the 1TB monthly cap. And that's with all the other internet activity in my house.

Americucks, everyone
>>
How does it feel to have internet that isnt owned by Jewish mega corporations?
>>
>>55477750
Monthly caps are about as unheard of here as they are wherever you are. Doesn't mean fringe cases don't exist.
>>
>>55477827
Nobody on earth knows.
>>
>>55477849
>fringe cases
Nigga pls.
Comcast pretty much has a monopoly on internet service in my area and up until a month ago we had a monthly cap of 300 gigs. Shits not uncommon.
>>
>>55473884
If Hillary can be irresponsible with matters of national security, why can't Edward Snowden?
>>
>>55477862
It's a fringe case. I'd be willing to bet 99% of American Internet is unmetered.
>>
>>55477912
No, 99% (definitely less) of cases ARE metered, their users simply don't notice

it just would take a lot of money. fiber ain't cheap to lay.

>be Canadian
>pay $175/month for basic cable and Internet
>most channels aren't even 1080 and there's a 250GB cap on Internet
>pay $125 for two cellphones/month and they're capped at 1gb/month and 50min talk and 2500/text

>irresponsible
Hillary's private email server would be 10,000 times more secure than the State Department one. Our UNCLASS server at NAVCOMTELSTA Sicily was sitting on a workbench in a room anyone could walk into, and we had Italians walking about there just about every day without escort. It's UNCLASS.
Did she have thousands of underpaid staffers walking through her home 8 hours a day, every day? Nope. That's better security than UNCLASS at the State Department would have.
>>
The only problem with email servers specifically is that they can easily block the relevant ports, at least my isp does. I easily run an a server with other common protocols though. I guess that it's meant to make it harder to send spam, since spammers would probably abuse this.
