Serioiusly /g/ee, tell me why do you care so much about numbers, amount of cores and other stupid shit when a simple build with i5-2500k can do everything you want? Do you really enjoy wasting money?

Because "a simple build with i5-2500k" costs almost as much to buy used as a brand new build with an up to date chip and board. Why the fuck would anybody now choose to buy Sandy Bridge over even a used Haswell or Skylake?

The people who got the great deal out of the 2*00K are those that bought it when it was current hardware, and possibly those who bought it over Inferno Bridge. Anybody who actively sought one out post-Haswell is a literal retard.
