So I've resorted to Pale Moon. So far it feels about as fast as Firefox and the addons I use work and the lack of Australis is fucking amazing. I will immediately switch to another browser if /g/ can recommend one better.

SeaMonkey's Firefox without the RAM issue. It may have more "bloat" but it consumes less memory. So which exactly is more bloated? Firefox.

I actually started using palemoon as day to day browser because chromium/chrome has a lot of problems with dom-relevant javascript on my machine. Clicking into a thumbnail on facebook takes like 10 seconds to load the image, meanwhile it's adhoc on pale moon.

Firefox is still the best as you can disable the botnet with some tweaks.

Seamonkey is garbage and always has been. Even Debian abandoned their iceape clone nearly 3 years ago - that's saying something.

Pretty much this. Bob and weave until then.

The devs keep taking out features because chrome doesn't have them and they don't realize that if people wanted a chrome clone they'd use fucking chrome. >>

>>
>>55454362
Probably, but since I'm not cucking myself by living in the US, this doesn't matter to me at all.
>>
>>55454306
All those things are *default* and hidden (or at least not explicitly stated). Most users would have no idea that they even exist, even after checking Chrome's shitty minimalist settings panel.
>>
>>55454371
Which features, you got anything useful in that list of specifics?

Try to get a current version of flash working on Linux. Without emulating. We need someone to get a browser monopoly quick or we are all fucked.
>>
>>55454409
They're under "advanced settings", far from hidden. If you don't bother looking through unhidden settings (things that aren't something like about:config) then you aren't worried about things like these in the first place and these aren't a problem to you.

Firefox also sends data to Mozilla by default.
>>
>>55454409

Out of all the big ones they are the only open source browser, so if they lose all their users it's not going to make some Firefox fork the most popular browser, people will just change to full botnets and forget about open source browsers permanently. After Firefox is secured I might switch to some fork but now I can't, personally.

Also I like the name and the logo, "fire" sounds more awesome than "water" for example.
