I almost instantly get an allergic reaction whenever I touch my mother's IPAD...even with the protective case on.
I purchased a samsung galaxy TAB e and as soon as I held it in my hands, I got a rash.
I'd like to replace my nexus 7 with something larger. Around 9~10 inch. I never had any allergic problems with my nexus 7 and I was wondering if there were other android tablets out there not made with metal casings.

You have a metal allergy, Apple uses cheap aluminum alloys with nickel in them, thats why you break out.

I definitely prefer my Nexus 6 to any iOS device I've ever used, as someone who actually writes programs occasionally and doesn't like living in a state-controlled economy (a la "App Store"). The size took getting used to, but it's great now.

Unlucky for you now devices are mostly metal because of muh premium feels. Samsung still makes decent non metal tablets though like the Galaxy s2. I heard LG G Pad X is pretty decent as well. Samsung and LG tablets have better battery life in general.
