The RX 480 is disappointing, and Nvidia's shit is good but hilariously overpriced or unavailable.
Also, let's remember that none of these new cards are really "DX12 Ready".
Not long from now shit like the 1070 and 1080 will be meme-tier performance, and the RX 480 will be even worse looking back.
Is the glass half-full, or half-empty?
Prices are pretty bad for the new stuff.
If you get something last gen though like a 970 the prices are great.

Right there with you bro. Just built a PC. Everything is fine except the GPU. Only got an EVGA 950 FTW because it performs well enough to wait until things settle down.

The 480 at the very least put more pressure on making 1080p/60 cheaper, so unless Nvidia makes the 1050/60 competitively priced mid-tier cards will go to AMD.
I have a 950 SC I'm sticking to waiting.
