In the future it would be better if you didn't phrase your question like this. People in the tech industry resent being seen by people whose life isn't working out as some kind of magical plan B with big salaries after a year or two of training or sometimes a three-month bootcamp.
The root of this is that they see you as a normie who went to parties instead of studying while they were fiddling with config files in their basement and crying themselves to sleep, and now that the party's slowing down you want a piece of their action.
Try to sell yourself as one of them, someone who has always been interested in tech, but for whatever reason you make up you just never had the opportunity. They're much more responsive to this. Also grow out your beard a little and stop lifting if you do.
