Hi, I'd like to use a laptop as a digital audio player connected to a Yamaha stereo receiver. It will be connected via a "mini-stereo to RCA" cable.
I will be using Foobar2000 with Wasapi for playback of local library. But I will also use Spotify and internet radio sometimes.
However, a remote control is necessary. Thinking about using an android phone... What apps do I need for controlling Foobar2000 (and selecting music folders from the hard drive)? And for controlling Spotify and internet radio?
Thanks beforehand...
Universal Remote.

TeamViewer.

That one seems very cool!

Yes.
You could also use Chromecast Audio thing and make your phone a more active component than a remote control.

OK.
Chromecast Audio seems good, but I don't trust wi-fi. And my Flac music library will be there in the laptop's hard-drive... no streaming and direct audio playback/output.
Ah, and the Foobar setup will look much better with the musical spectrum and waveform :)

What's the point in using WASAPI when you're using a fucking cheap laptop DAC to output?
Honestly, even if you had a good DAC there's no reason to use WASAPI for listening. The only reason you'd need it is if you want very low latency for audio work.
