In fact, you could have gotten an i5 and a GTX 960, Radeon RX 480, maybe GTX 970, or even waited for the GTX 1060 for the same price as an i7

Do you even need the extra capabilities? Are you going to do video editing or intense streaming? Wasting money that could be used for a better GPU isn't a good idea.
