>Apple patent aims to jam cell phones to prevent concert recordings, photos
>Apple has struck what may turn out to be a major blow against that horrible person at the concert who obstructs your view by recording the whole event on his phone. The company has just received a patent for technology that would allow cell phones to be temporarily blocked from shooting photos or videos, after receiving infrared transmissions from a broadcasting device.
please learn to check the catalog.
There's already a thread about this.
Fucking hilarious that that's an article written about it. Where the fuck shitty goyrag did you get that from?

> anon makes yet another thread about the same topic
> anon does not realise a cheap IR filter over the lens will render the system completely useless, which is why it was never widely deployed in cinemas when the idea first popped up years ago.
Fuck off faggot.
How can they even jam the camera, like, it would show only static, and how?

Go and read about it you dense cunt. This thread, and faggots who ask stupid shit that can be easily answered by looking at the SOURCE FUCKING ARTICLE, are the cancer of /g/
Bump,
the over the top butthurt over this shitty thread is too delicious.
Also, people are so used to recording at events, they will still hold their phones up high.
>>55335834
Remember when sharp deployed this shit into cinemas fucking years ago to wash out cell and camcorder sensors with IR light?
Remember how everyone just went and fitted IR filters to their camera?
Yeah..
>>55335834
>drm is good
Fuck off Rajeesh.
Apple cameras already have ir filters, what do you think all those 'high-quality lenses' are in apple's phones' cameras, they're basically the same as any Android flagship but with useless extra filters.

No

So you think replacing the word iPhone with cellphones will make people panic? Good try.

Their are a million ways to rape a patent. You can pretty much jew your way past any patent to steal someone's concept.
Also, patenting something doesn't mean much. They might never get around to using it. They just want some value in court, if it should come up for whatever reason.
Personally, I can't wait to watch the Defcon talk were someone makes that an exploit if it ever gets implemented on Iphones
