It is not SLI'd, just left my 770GTX in because I have 7-8 display devices to power. Using the 1080 only for 3 mains and Vive and the 770 handles a couple 7 inch displays and a 1080p projector. Was doing some PhysX dedicated testing as well with it.

Where does my case fan plug go? Is my mobo incompatible with that kind of port? Because I don't see where it would go anywhere on my mobo.
If it is incompatible, it is not bad if I just leave the side panel open to compensate for not using an exhaust fan, right?

The PSU is on eco-mode. The PSU fan doesn't even spin until >300W drawn, or it hits 65 degrees.
Unless I play games, the PSU fan is not spinning. Pretty silent... Plus the Seasonic logo would be upside down, and the glue is really tight to flip the sticker. So I'm okay with it like this.

It's not going to be resolved until they release a card that draws proper power from PSU connectors, or they hard limit the PCIE draw which with tank the performance as it will not get enough power. Pick one because there are only two ways they can deal with it.

Physics score is pure CPU and RAM from what I understand so background processes can have a decent impact on the result.
My 5820k manages ~17k when OC'd to 4.5GHz.
Poor result overall because im waiting for a 1070 to upgrade this 960.
So I'm in the middle of relocating my Fury to a vertical position in my C70. I'm waiting on my riser cable to come on Saturday. Also I shimmed the bottom contact point for the card so it won't hang crooked. Red straws will be replaced with bolts or something. Also the lights aren't blue like my potato camera shows.

Remove the Molex to PWM adapter so you're left with the PWM plug (Green Arrow), you appear to have a PWM header at the side (Red Arrow), it should go in there. If that's not a PWM plug just look for a header marked "CASE_FAN [X]" with 3-4 pins If it's 4 but your fan header has 3, plug it in the first 3 pins, there should be a keying mechanism preventing you from plugging it in wrong.

Download CPU-Z if you don't have it installed then go over to the "bench" tab and run a quick bench then compare it to the 6700k (it should provide a drop down list of reference CPUs you can compare yours to)
A 6700k gets about 2100 single core performance, remember single core performance is most important for gaming and other common tasks. Most games only really use 2-4 cores right now, a handful take advantage of 8 cores, but not many.
People don't hate AMD so much as people hate that AMD can't compete with Intel performance.

The multicore score should be similar, it's a quad core with hyperthreading vs a real 8 core.
However as we've already discussed the VAST majority of games use 2-4 cores.

For a first time it's not bad at all. That said there's still notable issues. You have cable management spots, don't neglect them. Make use of them and pull all the slack of all cables back there. It's not a heat issue, as you don't have an overclocking CPU, but a $20 CPU cooler will be quieter and do a better job. You're obviously still missing drives, but that's not so much an issue as it is just an observation. As for a new GPU - wait to see what nvidia puts out as the GTX 1060. If AMD fixes the issues with the RX 480 and the 1060 performs only marginally better and costs more then go with the 480. That's a fun case to work with, though certainly not the best you could have gotten for $50-$60. Coworker bought one for the build I set him up with. I let my "clients" choose what case they want, though I base recommend the NZXT Source 210 as its consistently $25.

Considering a 2500k is still fully sufficient against the highest end AMD offerings, no. It will not limit you substantially enough to warrant an upgrade for everyday use and in gaming. If you're doing something that requires intensive rendering or other CPU bound tasks, then it's up to you pending how much you want to spend for better performance.

also, my chinkshit PSU, someone told me before that even though its advertised as 650w, because its a 30amp 12v rail, its only putting out 360w maximum
my build + a 750ti on partpicker shows 56-201w of power required, would i be ok with that tolerance of +100w?
i intend to replace the PSU in the future, but im not going particularly hard on the build as is, and everything is unplugged when im not using it

The heatsink is against the cases panel which creates some vibration noise. Case was not meant for such a big HS.
Also it's hard to do cable management as there is no room in the back of the case.

Just did a little stuff. Case is too big to fit in my desk, so it has to go on the floor next to it. Carpeted floor. So I turned the power supply around so its not eating carpet fragments. And for the life of me, I CANNOT get ddr4-3200mhz stable. No matter what my settings. 2666mhz is as high as I can go.

Asus Z170 boards are shit for higher speed memory support. Usually they can't even run at stock XMP settings. You need to jack up your DRAM voltage, VCCIO, and System Agent voltages.

Exactly. My XMP didn't work. Set VCCIO to 1.2v up from 1.01v and system agent up to 1.25v. the pc benches fine in cinebench, prime95, etc. Restart? Boot hang and "overclocking fail!".
My 6700k stays at 4.6ghz at 1.35v. I get voltage boosts up to 1.424v under prime95 load. Computer is a dick with any sort of LLC set and ram at 3200mhz.

I've been over this issue with Asus rep many times on overclock.net and motherfuckers always say 'user error'. Like it takes any kind of user intelligence to install some ram and click XMP in the bios. They just don't want to admit their boards have issues with memory compatibility. Lots of other users have this same problem.

Not just an issue with Asus boards. Has to do with the z170 chipset itself. Read about the ram problem with Asus and gigabyte boards as well. Z170 just doesn't play nice with super fast ram speeds.

One 60 mm exhaust fan in the back (the other one melted and I never replaced it), one 90 mm intake in the front, stock cooler on the CPU. All the cables are blocking the way of the intake fan because the PSU isn't fully modular where it's stuffed tightly against the blu-ray drive, and I only found out about 'cable management' about a month ago. I thought people just used fully modular PSUs if they wanted things to look nice. Never heard of using zipties or velcro, and even then I don't like the idea of power cables being bound tightly together and coiled up (fire hazard). GPU is on it's way out, but it hasn't given up even after showing signs of dying for at least 2 or 3 years, so I'm going to allow it a warrior's death and let it keep fighting until the very end.
