Not an Arguement :^)
>>55318225
but why
Ignore the retards. Get Gigabyte.
>huge performance boost over my 670
>dont live in socialist shit hole so get good prices
>don't plan to OC
>same noise levels as my 670
should I just buy the reference 480? seems "good enough" and the aftermarket cards will absolutely ruin the appeal of the card which is its extremely low price
Why would you pick up an AMD vga when we have nvidia gps's?
>>55318155
Sapphire seems to be the most reliable choice for me. Also their cooling solutions are usually quite good. If another card is noticeable cheaper get the cheap one.

I think XFX has a 2 year warranty
GTX1070 or GTX1060
>>55318155
XFX and ASUS have really good support although XFX is mainly through emails they still are responsive and take care of issues but the build quality on their cards leaves alot to be desired and it seems that they no longer have the lifetime warranty so Id recommend Sapphire, ASUS, or MSI
>>55318155
sapphire > msi > xfx = gigabyte >>>>>>>>> asus

Wait for the "hype"(lol 200 dollar 970) to die down and you may get a better price or the 1060 comes out giving you more choice than a shitty blower style reference card that hasnt proven itself yet
i have an XFX 7870 right now that has lasted 4 years so i might go with them again
otherwise sapphire because their cards usually look badass and ive heard good things about them
will i be hurting myself by not preordering now? i was thinking about just waiting a week til i get paid
why the fuck would you buy this card? at some point you're just getting diminishing returns
>>55318155
Are you in the states OP?
Newegg has the 4GB for $199
>>55318491
the best I could hope for the price to drop is $10, the MSRP for the 8GB version is $229 and its on sale right now for $239 on newegg
All I need to know is whether or not future driver fixes will sort out the current lack of over clocking for the card.
If not, I've got no reason to wait for an aftermarket cooler version and can just get it in the morning.

If you in the States BestBuy was selling the $169 XFX version 8GB BackPlate Model for $199 BUT IT SOLD OUT
>>55318656
$269 for $199****
>>55318155
If, at some point, PNY, best ever fucking RMA's
>>55318155
It literally doesn't matter if you're buying a reference card.
For the price increase would a non-reference card still be worth it for this card? It performs admirably at 1080 and decently at 1440 but isn't the whole draw the price point?
>>55318775
yes it is / upgrade for people who have older cards
but /g/ doesn't understand that
