Is Ring encrypted communication safe? How does it compare to Signal and Tox?
There is no difference.
They're all corporations that you are choosing to trust not to collect your data because they promised.
They are all subject to the same laws requiring them to store and hand over any data requested by court order.

Non-profit organization != for-profit corporation

Ring is decentralized dumbass, just like tox.
Its practically like tox but with working video/voice

It uses aes for encryption which is definitely secure and it takes measures to protect identity information too, also >>55287668 doesn't know what he's talking about, ring network is peer to peer so communication data doesn't even touch the organization's servers and even if it did it would be encrypted so there's no risk of your information being mined. Overall I consider ring a more secure but less mature/user friendly alternative to signal or tox
Many people on /g seems to dislike Tox. What is the main critique?
>>55287856
how it is for text only group chat and file sharing?
>>55287944
it doesn't works, it lacks too many features
Ring is available on fdroid. I guess that means that you do not need gapps for it to work?
