Why is AMD releasing a card that is essentially identical to a 970?

Aftermarket stuff will be out in a few weeks just like it's starting to trickle in for the 1070 and 1080 now. The 970 had its day. I can't wait for that card to be completely obsolete so we don't have to talk about it anymore.

The sad thing is all those users have zero reason to upgrade to the 480 because the 480 is essentially identical to a 970.
