I am about to finish uni (comp.science+math) and I got a job offer from a company, turned out it is fucking php programming. I am familiar with web programming technologies (just built an API with Spring, works well) and used php for a while too. The money is not bad at all for a junior in my country, but do I really wanna start going down with building crap e-commerce sites all day? It feels like I am wasting my degree.

Don't listen to that guy. Take a job that interests you even if it pays less. Eventually you will end up making money and NOT dreading work every morning. Silly to take the first offer anyway unless the job situation is really bad in your country in which case make an objective choice.
