Alright lads, Let's talk college since I graduated high school last month.

What are the pros and cons of either pursuing a Computer Science Degree or pursuing an Information Technology Degree?

I did shitty in math back in high school so I'm leaning towards Information Technology. Thoughts?

Information Technology is basically the political science equivalent of computer related fields.

You need to brush up on your language skills first.

CS gives a better career path. Software development is a value factor, IT a cost factor at big companies.

just take the precal review course at your school. every college has them. very useful.

i was a terrible, terrible student, terrible study habits, a first class idiot. but im in my 4th year now and only have 5 classes left. im gonna stretch them out over two semesters though because i need to take care of me family (mum is getting old and frail)

if u study u will be fine. if u do the minimum you might squeeze by with C's and shit. careers dont really give a shit about your grades, they care more about your paper and projects. so get those done too.

I sucked at high-school math, and I got the lowest possible passing grade in statistics and calculus in uni (and the second lowest grade in discrete mathematics). Calculus I used two attempts on and statistics I used three attempts on to pass.

I have 4 years of experience as C++ developer from the industry (1 year as an embedded developer) and I'm currently doing a PhD in computer science (after having completed a masters [while working full-time as a developer] and working for a year as an embedded dev).

It's just a matter of how hard you're willing to work for it, OP.
