Hey, /g/

Please give me one good reason not to pull the trigger on this right now.

>$470
>1440P
>144hz
>1ms
>G-sync
>DELL

I know, I know... it's not IPS but a comparable panel would run around 700 bucks. Plus I've already got 2 other 22 in IPS panels I can use for videos and shit.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/381451971333

Should I do it?
>>
IPS equivalents got shit quality control anyway.

Do it faget.
>>
>>55180923
not to mention higher response times
>>
>>55180900
Do you have the hardware to run at that resolution and frame rate?
>>
>>55181589
Yes. 4690k and a 980.
>>
>>55180900
TN is an absolute dealbreaker for me, can't stand it at all after years of using IPS. There's not much excuse nowadays for TN to exist other than price, what with 120-144Hz IPS panels being a thing.

>>55181599
So, no then. Food for thought, to get 1440p @ 144 FPS you need more horsepower than 4K @ 60 FPS, a 980 is nowhere close to being enough unless you want to drop settings to low or something in modern/new games.

>g-sync
wew lad
>>
>>55181673
No you really don't because gsync syncs the monitors refresh rate to your cards output rather than try to do it the other way round.

>mfw I got a IPS/144hz/1440p/FreeSync monitor with no QC issues whatsoever

Its like winning the lottery, in a way
>>
>>55180900
Imagine the monitor is a helpless, defenceless baby. Now pull the trigger you heartless cunt.

Memes aside, do it.

>>
>>55182040

>>
i have this monitor, best TN on the market.
>>
>>55182563
You don't seem to understand. He doesn't expect to reach 144hz, but it will always look good because it will always be synced to the amount of frames the card puts out
