What's /g/'s opinion on encrypted email services?
Are they just a meme?
Is there any point in having one if you're a normie?
What services do you use?

i just run my own postfix+dovecot email server, make it force tls for imap and set smtp to prefer tls

If you want secure mail you have to encrypt it yourself.

Considering how most people you're communicating with will be using Google botnet, the privacy benefit is often defeated.
I use my own mail server mostly because I enjoy having unlimited addresses and the VPS + domain work out to 2 euros a month which is a great deal cheaper than, say protonmail especially considering the unlimited addresses and the fact that I also get a VPN out of it and the opportunity to host a website if I ever decide I want to.
