So, Thinkpad was bought out by Lenovo, which by my understanding is a cheap Chinese shit company.

Where can you find a good laptop for >500USD now? Seems like if you want anything that isn't a piece of shit you need to run into the thousands.

the newer thinkpads are still fine and better than most computers they're just not as good as the old ones. the new screens kinda make up for it tho
