>According to a new paper, security researchers are now working closely with the Tor Projectto create a "hardened" version of the Tor Browser, implementing new anti-hacking techniques which could dramatically improve the anonymity of users and further frustrate the efforts of law enforcement...

"Our solution significantly improves security over standard address space layout randomization (ASLR) techniques currently used by Firefox and other mainstream browsers," the researcherswrite in their paper, whose findings will be presented in July at the Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium in Darmstadt, Germany.

>The researchers say Tor is currently field-testing their solution for an upcoming "hardened" release, making it harder for agencies like the FBI to crack the browser's security, according to Motherboard. "[W]hile that defensive advantage may not last for too long, it shows that some in the academic research community are still intent on patching the holes thattheir peers are helping government hackers exploit."

So they're admitting regular Tor isn't actually anonymous or untrackable
>>

That's a cute bear.

no they are admitting the majority of their users are morons and end up leaking info.

Thats why the tor browser exists, people are too stupid to setup tor
>>
> please do not torrent over tor

Doomed from the start

man, why can't we have cute bear, all we have are wolf furries
>>
>>55166662

they're hardening the browser against software exploits and are doing nothing to enhance onion routing. did you even read the op?
>>
jesus christ i hope no one actually falls for this anyone who buys this at face value is a gullible idiot who is better off in whjite collar prison anyway

What about using tails off a laptop you found in the trash with internet from mcdonalds that you get in the nearby woods?

>above ground
>not under 30 feet of lead
rip
>>
>>55170120
A 2.4 or 5ghz band can't go through 30 feet of lead, I was being fucking serious. This is not a game.
>>
>>55170111

only if you ditch the laptop and avoid security cameras the entire time. you don't need that level of security unless you're being followed.
>>
>>55170242
I've been holding on to her for a while, but you're right about security cameras, I mapped them all out and know which zones are hot, so I think I'm good on that one. I didn't even look sketchy doing it, I just bought a coffee.

>Not 30 feet of Neutronium.

>>
>>55166662
Quads so close. The Feds will always win. DUH! They just tell the Tor dev fags to give them watt they need. If not they have an outside sec team to give them the info.

I'm surprised the Feds haven't shut down the internet.

WTF the Feds shut down all these kiddy porn sites & do nothing about terrorists sites. Stupid! Welcome to Murica...
>>
>>55166658
They could just start by making javascript disabled by default in the TOR browser.
