I travel a lot and like listening to audio rips from youtube so I can listen without have a network connection.
I used to use a capture program that is now broken, so what would you all recommend to replace it? I use the current version of firefox.
192kbps rips would be great but it's not a requirement

Can it strip audio without downloading the whole video?
Right now my video ripper still works so I can download the video then use an editor to save just the audio but I'm looking to save myself some steps.
Thanks for the info

Yes

You can use -x to "extract" the audio. I don't know if it still downloads the video and just discards it or if it only downloads the audio.
OR get a comfy $10 a year VPS to download and extract the audio.
