Good thing I sold my 970 a couple of months ago for 300 eurinos, then I bought a used R9 280 for 100, oc'd it to 280x levels and still play everything in 1080P/high.

I've never run into a vram limit, even with dual 970s.
I'm also not playing 1440p or higher on a fucking 970, because im not a retard.
Its a 1080p card, nothing more.
Don't worry though, sold both of them 2 months ago for near retail to some idiots and now I'm waiting for the 1080 classified. :^)

I never ran into a vram limit, games never used more than 3gb, but i have a 144hz monitor and still wasnt getting enough fps even at 1600mhz.
Plus i enjoy overclocking and i just want to go past 2ghz.
