No such thing as 4 way sli. 2 way sli had a marginal 40% benifit though. And 3 way sli has less then 20% but that's been done away with.

You didn't say that. You said there is no such thing as 4 way SLI. There definitely is, regardless of whether or not the 1080 supports it.

learn to read,you will have to get the "enthusiast key" from nvidia to enable 3- or 4-way sli on the 1080,otherwise its locked and there is no other official support for those setups,it works but you are on your own

they got rid of the enthusiast key a while ago, you can only use 3 and 4 way sli for benchmarks
