I want tabs for my cygwin SSH, is console2 the only good option?
I could never get used to tabs for terminals. Still open multiple windows instead.
I tried console2 long long ago, and in the end decided against it because of some technical issue, don't remember what it was.

You might like terminator.
Instead of tabs (which it can also do), it focuses on opening terminals in tiled blocks of four, four terminals for each tabbed page.
You can also increase that or decrease that, it's insanely customizable. I could see someone having an entire screen of mini tiled terminals all inside terminator

Cute. Definitely going to try it some day. If it has better support for UTF8 than default Windows terminal emulator, I might very well switch to it entirely.
