debian has the largest support pool, not as user friendly as ubuntu. linux is the user friendliest and is supposed to feel like "home" to windows users. ubuntu is its own fully featured OS, special in its own ways. Debian is highly customizable, and unlike mint or ubuntu, doesnt come prepackaged with a specific DE or WM
