I've upgraded through 4 Fedora releases straight. Each time it's been quick and painless, and nothing has ever exploded.
DNF's built-in upgrader thingy also makes it extremely nice.

I initially installed Fedora for my home server just to see how it'd go, not caring about it getting EOL'd. But every upgrade has been so easy, that I've just kept going... it's been over 5 years now.
I'll switch to some other distro if an upgrade ever fucks up or causes shit to explode.
