This will be my first time upgrading my PC.

What I wish to upgrade is my:
Motherboard
Ram
GPU
Power Supply
Monitor
Case

My current system includes:
ASUS Z87-C Motherboard
i7 4770k 3.5 ghz
16gb DDR3
Geforce 430 GT

What I wish to get is:
A motherboard that can hold DDR4, and is compatible with a Geforce GTX 970.
A CoolMaster 750 Plat Power Supply (I might only need a 550-650).

So If someone could recommend me a motherboard that is worth its weight, and can hold the DDR4 plus the GTX 970 that'd be great.

You already have a fully compatible system with a 970. But why pay for that pos when the RX 480 is out in two weeks with better performance for less money? You literally have no need to upgrade anything else. If you got the itch, just swap out for the fastest memory your system will support.
