Removing Windows 10 spyware

My parents want windows 10, but at the same time don't want to be spied on. While I know this seems like an impossible task, an anon posted a list of IP addresses the other day which Windows 10 keeps phoning home to.
what can I do to to keep the spying to a minimum, or at least minimize the damage?

You can use Windows in a VM or on a separate physical machine that could be connected to the internet (or better not) through a proxy that logs and blocks all suspicious activity.
You should create image of your win7 disk and refresh it if the system becomes unstable and/or uncontrollable (or better make diffs from time to time so you know what files was changed and from what to what content).
