Do you guys have any information about the KFA2 GeForce GTX 1080 EX OC Edition? It's the cheapest custom gtx1080 here in Germany, almost 100€ cheaper than every other model (670€), but I've never even heard about the company.
Would it be smart to go with that model or should I pay the extra 100 bucks for the Zotac Extreme Edition?

The company was renamed due to their old name infringing some other. From what I read they have made numerous other cards and are reputable.
I have had no problems with the card,in fact its quieter than my old 970.
It does run hot thoug(83 degrees is the highest) and around 37 in idle web browsing.

Because other manufacturers do excellent cards too? Gigabyte Windforce models have been amazing, Palit JetStreams have been great, EVGA has got some great models etc.

Yeah amazingly the fan hasnt gone crazy.
I installed msi afterburner and did try the fan at 100% and it is quite loud. Thing is I dont think I will ever hear it otherwise as its never ramped up that high.
Im tempted to get the water cooling for it although its probably not needed.

Plus I cant see it in my pc as : the case side panel is on and when in it faces down.
The Zotac looks pretty great and has an extra fan, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra money
Kfa2 is galax is galaxy
They make some really nice high end cards, the all white ones.

Not it wasn't. The parent company is called Galax and they briefly decided to sell cards unde the Galax name in Europe around the time of the 900 series launch, but went back to KFA2 because people preferred it. The actual operation itself has a lot of staff who used to work for BFG. They use BFG's old RMA centre in the UK.
