As someone who can somewhat code in Python and want to learn C, is this book any good? There seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding it, but aside from K&R I don't know any other alternatives.
Get King's C: A Modern Approach
Zed Shaw is a giant poo poo and that book is no better

I'm reading head first C by oreilly and it's pretty good.

He has admitted in public that the basic thesis behind that book is, "I think C is a shit language, so I'm going to teach you all this stupid bullshit so you'll see how shit it is."
So, yeah, it's a pretty good book.

I have read three differnt C books and the best book is unironically Kerninghan & Ritchie.
Many people frown upon it, because they show you some "filthy stuff" you can do with C..

..but honestly I don't think this is bad. You learn C after all, best to also know its quirks, even if you should avoid them afterwards. If only because you will see other poepl doing stuff like that.
BTW Zed Shaw is a real stupid person.

No it's not
