I would also be interested in the answer. Drugs and alcohol is an option to make it bearable but I'm trying to cut it down.
It also probably depend on your age and work environment. Poor management doesn't help.

I'm a lot happier when there's something happening in my life outside work. If I just go home and browse the internet until midnight I feel like absolute shit in just a couple days.

1. quit the one that is forcing you to write CRUD apps in Java/C# (or other similarly boring front-end software applications)
2. find a job at a tech company with a large userbase (ie. a site in the Alexa top 200 or near there)
3. job description: build product infrastructure (or similar). services to power curated user feeds, site search, user/data analysis, etc.
4. actually build and deploy these things into AWS; watch them power your site under load, monitor their metrics, improve them
5. if you don't enjoy this, find another profession
