Personally, I'm a big fan of Arch, but I understand that Debian and Gentoo are pretty good, too. I'd pick one of those for my antivirus solution.

Not sure. Avira use to be good, but now it's shit. Bitdefender is shit too. Haven't tried avast, AVG, or panda. Maybe one of those
