Am I the only one who feels that Maxwell's aftermarket coolers had a much better look to them.

Like honestly Pascal aftermarket coolers look so gaymer like. What happened to the professional ish aesthetic on things like EVGA cards

All open-air coolers look gay to me. The only ones that I thought looked halfway decent were the XFX and Lightning models of Nvidia's cards.

But none of them look as good as reference AMD. I can't put my finger on what this design really reminds me of. It's something like older, more rugged and industrial design.

I'm actually planning on getting an RX 480 or 2 as long as I can get the reference model. I just like the way they look.

It reminds me more of some old radios. Even the name "Radeon" is evocative of it so I think the effect is intentional.
>>
I feel you
I just want something that works, it doesn't have to glow or look like it came out of a 13 year old's sketchbook
>>
my first look at them and immediately thought the same. especially disappointed with the evga cards. they look waaaaaay worse
>>
>>54973228
If I were to get one I'd probably get the EVGA reference card. It looks pretty subdued.

When the Quadro Z6000 or whatever the fuck they're going to call the Pascal versions of those cards come out you might be able to swap the cooler off of those.

This is a good looking card.

Nice black and white color scheme, doesn't look too gaymer, the black i/o panel is pretty cool.

Don't know what problem you'd have with this design.

The only option for a reasonable prices 1080 in UK is the galax EU version (kfa2) which has a fucking terrible look to it, the rest are WAY m ore expensive

What the fuck were they thinking with this stupid joker branding
>>
>>54973284

Looks OK. Not great, but, ok. Not minimalistic enough.
>>
Friend gave me a gtx 680 he had laying around. Nice solid black with gray highlights, boxy and unassuming. It's nice. Same with a 650 by evga compared to the autismal Asus make.

yeah they're such AMD fangays they can't even say an Nvidia card looks nice
And I agree with you, it does look nice, but I'm probably gonna get an EVGA SC ACX 3.0

Me too. And I'll replace the thermal paste with something better once I get it.

Radeon just sounds cool and tech related in general. Geforce on the other hand sounds like something an edgy 12 year old made up.

Aesthetically similar looking. I think its the pattern itself. I dislike the shitty EVGA and the CLASSIFIED shit on there. The labels on the fan covering looks more like a wheel labels.

Otherwise, the pattern of solid ruggedness is quite good.
