I am building a new Gaming PC soon, so I will just use this project to over bridge the time.

I was considering using the 950, but this PC should just meet the minimum requirements. A option would be the gtx1050 with 4GB, but I guess it will be around 200$, so I may use the 750 in between.

The RX 480 was just announced and comes out June 29th, 390X performance for $200/250

The RX 470 is going to be the Polaris 11 chip, which is one tier down and cheaper still, no real info on it yet, if anything get the i3 and save up the for RX 480, it'll be the best GPU for the money for a long time to come, if it's at all decent. Might even be the next 8800/9800

not OP, but I plan on getting the 480 if it turns out to be as good as people are making it out to be, but what I can't decide on is to either get an i5-2500k used for around $100 or an i3-6100 for around the same price.

I know I'll be more future proof with the i3-6100 because of the 1151 motherboard, but the 2500k would give me more performance for games even though I'd be stuck with an 1155 mother board.

It's really tempting to go with the 2500k especially considering it's overclocking, but it seems like half the people here call it a dead CPU even though it still kicks ass.

I planed first to get a i3-4xxx because I would save money with the rams.
But in the end, if I buy something new I plan on upgrading it.

And a i3 is actually good enaught for gaming, because most games need a good graphic card, there are some games that are almost entirely based on graphic card performance.
I saw that you can use a i3 without problems on a gtx970, so just buy the new one and be safe
