looking to get a new laptop or tablet, i saw the old asus transformer t100 (T100TA-C1-WH(S)) on slamazon for 200 bucks. is it good? according to reviews it runs full windows 8, not rt so i can run all of my regular executables on it. does anyone have this model or similar or used it before?

transformers are nice two 2-1s. Maybe look for a newer model with cherry trail SoC and higher res screens.

I was looking at the older one because it's cheap and it has the dock with built in 500gb which doesn't seem to be an option anymore. I was looking to spend like $300 or less.

For $200 bucks they are ok. They have good battery life, and the older bail trail SoC is enough to run that 1280x800 screen. You cal also look for one of the Chinese clones, but mind that quality is hit and miss.
