So /g/ do you think the Nivida GTX 1080 will work on OS X cause I kinda want to get a better GPU but holding off buying better one because if the Titan X comes down to the $400 range I'd like to get one of them if the 1080 doesn't work.

Nvidia has been pretty good about keeping their Mac drivers up to date, so yes. You might have to wait until 10.12 or whatever it turns out to be (macOS 11? who knows) coming out late summer/fall, though. Nvidia likes to sync major driver changes with OS X releases.
