Unless you need your computer for work, I don't see a point in getting a GT 210. If you needed to play le gaymes like LoL that aren't hardware intensive, you should have went with a GT 730.

You fucked up bad. Think about it this way: you just added $30 to whatever gpu purchase you make in the future, because good luck selling that piece of shit used. Or, you could have put that $30 towards an i5 in the past and not be stuck with a shitty CPU that is slower and had no igpu.

There hasn't even been a single review

>>54917801
>Freesync only works down to 45 fps
Adaptive sync can go down to 9 hz

and that display can go down to 35hz, but with a 480 you're never really going to hit that with decent settings at 1080p

"Note that the FreeSync operating range for the monitor is 35 – 144Hz" The newer models have most likely been updated with the newest firmware

Nvidia already uses free-sync in their "mobile G-sync" displays, G-sync will probably die off, if nvidia weren't such jews we'd have high end adaptive sync displays everyone could use, and they'd be cheaper because of free-sync

the same 1080p 144hz G-sync display costs $349 vs the $209 on that free-sync display

So I've never really found a good answer on this, never found a great thread to ask either. How do hybrid coolers compare to air coolers life expectancy wise?

I know the temperatures tend to be quite a bit lower, up to like 30-40c lower in some cases, but I'm wondering how long the cards are expected to last considering the liquid in the cards can't exactly be easily replaced.

>Worst shit I ever owned lagged like fuck on DOOM 3.
I quite liked mine.
I eventually upgraded to a 9800 Pro, but it died so I went back to the 9200. Then a buddy gave me his old 9550, which too met the same fate as the 9800.

The 9200 just kept on giving.
It wasn't the one in the picture though. Not sure if that one even works.
The one in my rig had a red PCB.
>>
>>54926827
Well it did have a lot of VRAM compared to my previous Inno3D Nvidia Geforce 3 with 64MB but it had lower performance all over the board when it wasn't VRAM limited.
Upgraded to a 7800GT later and what a difference it was.
I haven't been on ATi cards since, and I haven't had an AMD product since Athlon64 3700+.
Pre Core2 Athlons were beasts when it came to performance but it all changed and has been Nvintel ever since.

Believe it or not,I actually found one thrown on the street. It was only missing the heatsink, and surprisingly worked. It ran a bit cooler than the 5200/5500 cards, but it did still need a fan. (I had one from a Pentium 133 cooler)

First revision ASUS P5LD2,so pretty much can't. VRM doesn't support (literally not supported in this revision, even Asus states that)

I have a dual core CPU laying around, but I need a AM2 board and those seem to be pretty rare here. It's a AMD Athlon 64 x2 5600+ 2.8GHz (based on the model number),which back when I used it,it was a really awesome and cool (literally,35 idle and barely past 44 on load) chip.

Just replace the caps. It's easy - just get a soldering iron (30w recommended, works best!),desolder those caps, buy some new caps with the same value as those desoldered, solder the new ones in,and test. It should work fine.
>>
>>54928065
Are you like extremely poor or something?
Can the board atleast handle a Pentium D, otherwise I'd really just recommend you try to dumpster dive a C2D Optiplex. Those are fairly easy to score, then you can just toss in something like a Q6600 assuming you the motherboard supports it and pick up a cheap GPU.
HD 6850s cost like nothing.

>>54928157
Well I might try that, but I doubt it's the caps.
Assuming the caps were the issue the card wouldn't output anything. Here I'm getting the purple lines of death.
Already had to change 8 caps in the motherboard to get it working. I am an electrical technician (Engineer soonâ„¢).
Easier to just find a different card.

>HD 6850s cost like nothing.
Optiplexes don't even exist where I live. Literally. And meh,I'll just try hunting down a 9800GT and a decent PSU (the current one is decent as well - CWT ISO) and be done with it,9800GTs aren't that bad, right?

>Assuming the caps were the issue the card wouldn't output anything. Here I'm getting the purple lines of death.

Not really. Had a Radeon X1050 with bad caps. Because of them, every time I'd install the drivers for the GPU (I had to reinstall Windows several times to figure out that it's from the GPU,not from Windows, topkek) the PC would boot up to desktop, stay for a few seconds on the desktop then simply lose signal.

As for a dualcore,I definitely will hunt down a AM2 board. I am pretty much fed up with Intel for the fact it runs really slow (I have thermal paste applied and CPU HSF secured in place tight) even though it has a boatload of RAM and a big as fuck HDD .(1TB - not common in 775 days,eh?) 5400RPM though (came from a Verbatim HDD enclosure. I was pretty much surprised to find a Samsung HDD in a Verbatim enclosure...)

Hope I get lucky and find a ASUS M2N-E SLI locally. Black PCB (which I find sexy),Award BIOS instead of AMI (oh god,how much I hate the later 03'-present AMI BIOS),two PCI-E x16 sockets for SLI action, all the goodies.

>>54928753
Ironically,I actually tried running NFS Hot Pursuit (the 2013 one) on my dual core AMD Athlon 64 x2 5600+ system with a 1GB GT210 (RIP,it was a good card for how much I paid for it) and it worked with little lag. Maybe it helped that the CPU was dual core (a single core A64 3200+ I had before this X2 was lagging like fuck, with the same GT210 GPU)and that I had about 3GB of RAM?
