I believe it's possible to tell xfce to use a different WM but I've never done it.
It's a pain in the ass having to set everything up.

is there a script to do it or something though?
>being this much of a pleb
You need to disable xfwm4 and the shit that draws the background in Session and Startup and autostart i3

Install it, start using it, then configure it to suit your own needs, as you discover how it fits your workflow.

Just switch entirely to Awesome WM and stop being such a cuck
in ubuntu you need to choose i3 in the login screen thats how i moved from lxde

Just install i3, read the docs and how to use/configure it to your liking.
Then just go to dotshare.it and steal a nice i3 config you like.
Follow this 3 part series.
Not complicated at all:

What I did was download Antergos and installed just the base. (like ez arch)
Installed i3wm and followed this guide and im very satisfied.
He doesn't just explain how to cookie cut, but he explains how everything works in a reasonable manner.
10/10 would i3 again
Any questions op?
