Tried to install FreeBSD and it failed, wat do

Ha, no answer. Dead, just, like BSD.

Kill self, it's not fucking rocket science.
Does FreeBSD have any advantages beyond more binary availability over OpenBSD on a desktop?
I'm setting up an old dual-socket NetBurst workstation as a general use system, primarily for archival stuff and server administration, with a dual-boot setup of XP and either one of those two *BSDs or going full on retrotistic and messing with Red Hat 7.
I've tried to install FreeBSD four times now. I ended up quitting because my wireless card isn't detected. How do I install Wi-Fi drivers? For the record the card is RTL8821AE

Obviously this is pretty "general" advice and not "correct" in every setting but OpenBSD usually performs better on bare metal (if the hardware is supported)
