I just think tube clocks are real fucking neato. Going to build one myself soon.

Submerged computers.

It's a fucking meme and the ass-pain probably isn't worth the possible benefits over traditional liquid cooling, but it sure is interesting.

That and you can make it look super rice and it's a conversation piece. I'd feel way less autistic about having my computer on display if it actually had a unique feature like this. That said, I don't think I'd ever do this.

It's like those wall-mounted builds with no cases. It looks cool and it's a neat idea but it's impractical as fuck and the benefits are either minimal or nonexistent and it might actually introduce MORE problems.

I've always liked this idea but I've heard any rubber components degrade really bad.

My 290x would boil the water
>>
>>54873121
It's usually mineral oil which boils around 600F.

Still
>>
>>54873057
In good submerged builds, you're supposed to use mineral oil, which does not degrade your typical rubbers at all.

Run fermi in SLI.

My 290x will still boil the water

my gtx 480 sli will set the water on fire, beat that.

I just like them because they're usually passively cooled. Because the oil is so good at transferring heat, and because fans flat out don't work well when submerged in oil, they usually don't use them.

Try running a cutting-edge rig with no fans in it. Enjoy your house fire.

Holy shit! That thing is going to melt the motherboard!
>>
>>54873254
They don't need to run at >1000 RPM. If they run at 60rpm, that's totally enough

that thing must be loud as shit
