Title says it all.

I need help /g/,
I built a new rig and every time I run overwatch there's a loud annoying buzzing coming from my power supply fan, speakers, and any audio device I plug in like headphones.

Would anyone know what the problem would be? I only trust /g/'s opinion.

Any ideas?

Could be a ground loop?

I'm just worried it's doing damage.

Ok so the buzzing happens when i launch Dota 2 also.

So it's not overwatch.

Are you sure all of your components are buzzing, or can you narrow it down more?

What power supply do you have? Also, try using a cheater plug and tell me if that does anything.

PSU and audio devices

It's a similar sound coming from both. I cleaned my PSU with an air can but im pretty sure that's not the issue. It comes from my earbuds when i plug them in, my speakers when theyre turned on, and the back of my computer exactly where the power supply is constantly while running games.

If it's sound in your headphones/earbuds, you're probably just dealing with electrical interference. If you want to get rid of it, you generally need either an external DAC or an internal one with shielding from electrical intereference.

If it's plainly audible directly from your PSU, it is probably capacitors and I would say that is not normal for a PSU.

Post your specs.

PSU model?

probably lack of shielding on your soundcard homeboy. then like capacitors and transistors give off interference

sorry had to look at the back of my computer.

sticker says it's a Corsair HX520W Modular Power Supply

Shit, my engineer friends built this rig for me, i wouldnt think shielding would have been the issue... The entire inside of this thing looks like a fucking armored tank.
>>
>>54864297
Most parts aren't really shielded because it doesn't generally doesn't effect their performance at all - audio is really the exception because interference actually produces noise.
>>
Shitty PSU no doubt

We aren't a fucking tech support board
