Nah mpv is a dumb opengl shit, just like vlc or kodi.
The king is madvr! It's more advanced and much more optimized.
Combined with mediaportal you have the best homecinema experience.

Funny thing is that it uses the same amount of GPU without it, around 25%-18% on my 970 on 720p videos, though I am guessing is because is a livestream, will check later. 28% cpu usage in case anyone is wondering.
What else should I use?
